QuickBooks Enterprise Remote Access for Teams
QuickBooks Enterprise is built for bigger teams and multi-user workflows — but it still runs on your own Windows server or PC. Here’s how to give your team and accountant secure remote access without leaving Enterprise behind.
Why Enterprise remote access is different
Enterprise already supports many simultaneous users on a local network. The challenge is reaching it from outside the office — remote staff, multiple locations, or your accountant — without buying more licenses or exposing your server.
Your options
Remote Desktop / VPN
Remote into the server or a workstation. Familiar, but heavy to manage at scale, awkward on phones and Macs, and a security surface you have to lock down. More on the trade-offs ›
Hosted Enterprise
An authorized host runs Enterprise on their cloud server for all users. Full features and multi-user, but a monthly fee per seat and a remote-session interface.
A two-way web portal (QBWebSync)
Keep Enterprise on your own server and add a secure web portal on top. Multiple team members and your accountant open it in any browser, create invoices/payments/bills that post back to Enterprise, and run live financial reports — no per-seat remote sessions, no migration.
